TechToolkit: Animoto
http://www.animoto.com
If you haven't discovered Animoto.com, you're in for a treat. Whether you're capturing the spirit of a staff development day or introducing the Civil War unit, you'll find Animoto a great addition to your toolkit. Upload images and then upload your music (or choose music available at the site). Animoto takes it from there. This Web 2.0 application analyzes your images in relation to the music and creates a professional looking video. Choose from either a 30-second short Animoto or full length. Fabulous results. Here's a quick example.
System Requirements: Current browser, Java enabled, and Flash 8 Player
Cost: Free to educators. For everyone else, 30-second videos are free. Full length are $3 each or $30 a year unlimited.
